What is referencing?
Referencing is the practice of acknowledging the sources of the information that you have used in academic papers or assignments. Put simply, referencing involves letting your reader know exactly where you found your information.
References are provided for all types of information sources such as books, journal articles, newspaper articles, magazine articles, reports, films, music and web.
