Opportunities
Receive guidance
You will be supported in your career goals, as each Student Academy of Excellence student will be matched with a mentor. Take part in regular one-on-one sessions and receive personal attention throughout your degree.
Your mentor will assist in selecting the right experiences for you to develop your skills personally and professionally. Depending on your future aspirations, you may be matched with a leading Griffith researcher, academic or an external industry partner.
Experience the world
You will be encouraged to gain a global perspective by studying, volunteering or working overseas. You could:
- study overseas at one of our partner universities
- participate in International Youth Leadership Programs
- undertake overseas industry experience at a leading company in your field of study
- be part of international community volunteering projects.
Funding support for overseas experiences can be applied for through Griffith Global Mobility and the Student Academy of Excellence.
Collaboration
Share ideas and work with leading researchers, academics and other high-achieving students. The Student-Led Initiative Committee also organises regular social activities.
Professional training
Undertake practical professional training coordinated by your School or Faculty to place you in a high-quality organisation related to your area of study.
Research bursaries
Student Academy of Excellence students interested in undertaking a short research project can apply for funded research experience opportunities.
