Griffith English Language Institute
Griffith English Language Institute has been delivering award-winning English language programs for more than 30 years. GELI is proud to offer students small class sizes, high quality teaching, academic workshops, Independent Learning Centre, job skills workshops and activities.
GELI also presents the GELI Excellence Award 10 times a year. Winners receive AUD$1,000 and are announced at the end of each five-week study period.
Employability
Griffith University graduates are equipped for the new world of work. We include real-life industry experiences in degrees and have a range of employability initiatives which are designed to give your students a kickstart in their career.
Griffith also offers Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programs for our students which involve an assortment of work placements and internships. These opportunities allow our students to engage in hands-on learning and get work experience as part of their degree.
Griffith Mates
Griffith Mates is a vibrant team of current Australian and international students from across the world who speak thirty-four different languages. The team welcomes thousands of international students each year, helping them adjust to university life in Australia through a range of community events and activities including the International Student Buddy Program, day trips and student networking.
Innovation and entrepreneurship
We have degrees, majors and courses designed to teach students the skills they need to grow ideas, become an entrepreneur or to bring innovative thinking and practice into their profession. Students can also be part of our thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem by joining a club, participating in an innovation challenge, attending a workshop or finding a student mentor.
International Student Advisory
Our team of International Student Advisors offer personal support, advice and information on issues that can affect student life in Australia and studies at Griffith. If students have any problems or concerns and are not sure who they should speak with, they can contact one of our friendly advisors who be able to help or direct them to the right person.
