Supporting LGBTIQ+ students

There are a wide range of challenges and additional stressors that people from the LGBTIQ+ Communities can experience. The counsellors at the Griffith Counselling and Wellbeing service provide a service which is free of judgement and encourages a safe, confidential and supportive environment. All people have a right to feel comfortable talking about their specific concerns in a space where they can feel heard and have trust in their counsellor.

This can be especially true for many people within the LGBTIQ+ community who may not initially feel safe talking with others when needing to explore their sexuality or gender identity. The Griffith Counselling and Wellbeing are a counselling team who offer a queer friendly service for people from all sexualities, genders and identities.
