From interactive workshops, lab experiences, a comprehensive events calendar, an abundance of pathways programs, plus bridging and short courses; Griffith Sciences will have young individuals enthusiastic towards undertaking a multitude of degree programs.

By exposing young people to the wonders of science, they’ll be better informed prior to making study choices towards a rewarding career.

STEM Futures Day

Students in years 10 and 11 are invited to participate in Griffith University's STEM Futures Day. Students have the opportunity to select two hands-on STEM workshops where they can discover where their passions lie.

  • Time: 9am to 2.15pm


STEM Cup is an after-school STEM competition for students in years five, six, seven and eight. The students compete in two divisions, Primary and Secondary, over a period of seven weeks. Each week the teams score points for the challenges they complete with the top scoring teams earning a place at the STEM Cup Grand Final held at Griffith University.

Science on the GO!

Griffith University’s Science on the Go! outreach program is delivered by a team of teaching professionals who are not only passionate about science, but are equipped with fundamental knowledge and experience to guide students towards achieving their full potential. For more than a decade Science on the Go! has been enlightening children, parents and teachers on scientific fundamentals in a fun and interactive way.

Pathway programs

Students can complete a first-year chemistry, physics or engineering university subject while studying senior science at high school throughout Year 11 and 12.


STEM Pathways

Bridging and short courses

Griffith Sciences bridging and short courses are particularly useful for students who have no or limited prior studies in the study areas, have had a significant break from prior studies or who simply wish to have a refresher course in a particular field.
