Before completing your registration, it's important that you read and understand the following terms and conditions as you will be asked to agree to them during the registration process.

Registration and Fees
  • Workshop fee is $450 (including GST) with payment required in full at registration
  • Participants over 18 can register themselves; for minors, parent/legal guardian must register and consent
Daily Operations
  • Students will be expected to attend each session daily from 10am until 4pm (excluding lunch time, which is provided on-site);
  • A roll-call will be taken at 10am and after the lunch break, and if students are not present, parent/guardian will be contacted;
  • Any absences during these hours will need to be notified by parent/guardian to the film school in writing as soon as possible to gfs@griffith.edu.au
Behaviour Standards and Removal
  • Clear behavioural expectations including compliance with directions, following instructions, respecting property, and treating others with respect
  • Progressive discipline process: verbal warning for minor infractions, immediate removal for serious/repeated violations
  • No refund for participants removed due to behavioural issues
Withdrawals
  • Cancellations that require a refund need to be advised in writing to gfs@griffith.edu.au no closer than seven (7) days prior to the commencement date of the course.  Cancellations closer to seven days will not be granted a refund.   
  • All workshops require a minimum enrolment.  In the unlikely event that enrolments are too low, workshop cancellation may be required. Registrants will be advised (by 6th June) if their workshop will be cancelled.
Multimedia and IP Rights
  • Workshop participants retain copyright in their work but grant Griffith a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license for teaching, research and promotional purposes
Copyright, Release and Waiver
  • You release Griffith from any claim by You, or on Your behalf, arising out of: Griffith’s use of the multimedia products, except to the extent any such use is inconsistent with the consent You have provided in this form.
  • By participating in in the Workshop, You waive all rights You may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use of the multimedia products including streaming, televising or other publication of  these multimedia materials irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video or audio recording taken by Griffith or the person or entity designated to do so by Griffith. You have been fully informed of Your consent, waiver of liability, and release before participating in the Workshop.
Privacy Statement
  • The University collects, stores and uses personal information for the purpose of administering student and prospective student admissions, enrolment and education.
  • The information collected is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent except to meet government, legal and other regulatory authority requirements.
  • By purchasing this product you consent to Griffith University collecting and using your personal information to provide you with further information about Griffith University programs, events, and services.
  • Griffith University may engage third-party service providers to assist with these activities.

Data Collection
  • The information you supply in purchasing this product is shared with the Griffith University staff and volunteer student Event Managers responsible for managing this event.
