Road to Cologne study tour
The Road to Cologne study tour provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the heart of the global games industry through an immersive international study tour across the UK and Europe. Before departing, students engage in a pre-departure training program covering topics including personal safety, cultural intelligence and professional conduct, and participate in a special industry engagement session with Interactive Games and Entertainment Association (IGEA), the peak game industry association in Australia. In August, the tour travels through London, Paris, Cologne, and Amsterdam, visiting major studios, attending the world’s largest games conference (Gamescom), and connecting with leading professionals, creatives, and studios shaping the future of games and interactive media. Aimed at Game Design and Production students and researchers, the tour is designed to inspire, connect, and challenge participants to think globally about their future in the creative industries.

Level Up Japan study tour
The Level Up Japan study tour provides an opportunity to collaborate with students across game design and animation, while exploring the culture and history of Japan. As the birthplace of global gaming giants like Nintendo, Sony, and Sega, and iconic animation studios like Studio Ghibli, Japan offers unmatched industry insights and inspiration. Students explore game studios to learn from developers (and get a peek at their favourite titles), and experience the cultural roots of anime, manga, and interactive storytelling.
