The world is catching up with a clear shift away from outdated business practices. The new Bachelor of business is a genuine alternative to traditional business degrees. It’s a whole new way of thinking for a whole new generation of future business professionals.
Be job ready
Today’s employers are looking for graduates with soft skills and adaptability to change, often learned on the job. When you study business or government at Griffith, you have the opportunity to develop these skills through co and extra-curricular programs and activities and graduate with a head start in the employment market. We’ll also learn how to challenge conventions and think creatively to solve problems. The BusinessPLUS and Leadership Programs cater for beginners as well as offering more advanced skills. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in career skills workshops combined with mentoring, internships and industry engagement projects that introduce you to the networks you’ll rely on later.
Be ready for the future of business
In today’s business landscape, purposeful, value-driven companies outperform the market; climate and social change is tied to fiscal policy; and rapid technological innovation is commonplace. As a Griffith business or government student, we’ll prepare you for the future of business through opportunities and practical experiences of these trends within international, national and local settings in the work environment and in the classroom. You’ll graduate with skills and knowledge of the adaptability required for organisations to prosper today and into the future.
Learn from leaders
When you study business at Griffith, you're studying among the world's best. Griffith Business School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - International, meaning your degree is recognised globally as a high-quality program. For the past few years, we have ranked in the global top 150 for politics and international studies and we are recognised experts in Asian studies, international business, tourism, sport management, finance and financial planning. Our students think we're great too, rating us above the national average in the latest Student Experience Survey.
Build foundations for your future
Through industry placements and work-integrated-learning, you'll be primed for the workplace as you develop skills and benefit from experiences which will complement your classroom studies. You'll also learn from industry guest lecturers and discover how business theory applies on the job. Take advantage of opportunities which will enable you to develop a global outlook and build international networks through our international student exchange programs and internships.
Expand your prospects
You can multiply your options with a double degree or double major and design the career that's right for you. A double degree or double major shows employers a highly motivated graduate with a broad range of skills and perspectives. Combine your studies in business, commerce or government with another area that's important to you and build a career of distinction.
Study in state-of-the-art facilities
Our world-class amenities include two advanced financial trading centres that provide real-time access to global financial markets combined with the sophisticated analytical tools used by investment professionals. Our lecture theatres and seminar rooms are all equipped with the video conferencing capability which makes playback easy. You'll also have access to a range of individual and group study areas, collaboration zones and specialised teaching spaces that are all fitted with the latest collaboration technology so you can engage online with your classmates.
We offer three new BusinessPLUS scholarship categories this year, which seek to reward potential as well as excellence - so it’s worthwhile investigating whether you might qualify to receive one. Scholarships can cover tuition fees, education and living expenses. You can apply if you are coming straight from year 12, or if you have left high school and are applying to start an undergraduate university degree. They add to over 600 scholarships available at Griffith. You can also apply for multiple scholarships with just one application; we’ll match you with the Griffith University scholarship you are eligible for and it's free.
