Successful marketing professionals are paid to think differently. Marketing is more than just advertising and selling, it's about finding solutions to customer problems. You can have the best product in the world but without marketing, your customers won't know about it. Whether it's a charity trying to solicit donations or a multinational wanting to increase monthly sales, marketing plays a central role.
If you're creative, analytical, a good communicator and a quick thinker, marketing is a great career for you. You'll learn about identifying and understanding a market, consumer behaviour, communication, and how to develop strategies for staying ahead of competitors.
NEW scholarships - Second round applications close 3 Feb
We offer three new BusinessPLUS scholarship categories this year, which seek to reward potential as well as excellence - so it’s worthwhile investigating whether you might qualify to receive one. Scholarships can cover tuition fees, education and living expenses. You can apply if you are coming straight from year 12, or if you have left high school and are applying to start an undergraduate university degree. They add to over 600 scholarships available at Griffith. You can also apply for multiple scholarships with just one application; we’ll match you with the Griffith University scholarship you are eligible for and it's free.

Griffith Business School is rated 5-stars for Educational Experience and Teaching Quality in Business and Management by the Good Universities Guide 2018, a leading independent provider of high-quality education and career information.
Marketing professional Brooke Santurini secured the role of Brand Manager with the Gold Coast Suns within five years of completing a double major in management and marketing. She recalls how she had one eye on her future career while studying for her degree at Griffith. 'From an early stage I started thinking about how I could make the most of my university experience—ensuring I gained as much work experience as possible,' she says. The Griffith Business School industry mentoring program led Brooke to an internship at Gold Coast Tourism, where she took up the position of Executive—Australia Marketing for Gold Coast Tourism within a year of graduating. Brooke has stayed connected with Griffith Business School where she is now a mentor to final year students of marketing, tourism and event management.
