Each of our campuses has its own flavour of innovation, with dedicated spaces to complement these focus areas. Our spaces are not limited to these focus areas, however, and are available to staff, students and the Griffith community.

Gold Coast
Griffith Innovation Centre (GX01_1.01)
The Griffith Innovation Centre resides at GX01_1.01 alongside co-working space Cohort within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.
The Innovation Centre is primed with smart technology and flexible furniture, which can be reconfigured for a range of events and workshops.

Advanced Design and Prototyping Technologies Institute
The Advanced Design and Prototyping Technologies Institute, known as ADaPT, focuses on the future of advanced design, manufacturing and medicine.
With collaboration at its core, the Institute combines leading-edge expertise in micro and nanoscience, complex imaging, 3D digital scanning, 3D functional modelling, bioengineering, industrial design, big data analytics, artificial intelligence and specialist expertise in designing advanced manufacturing processes.
ADaPT is equipped with extensive 3D printing technologies including multiple metal, polymer and bio printing capabilities. See ADaPT facilities for more information.
QCA studios
The Queensland Collage of Art also has an exhibition space and design studios on the Gold Coast, which include facilities such as 3D printers, laser cutters, workshops, spray painting booths, and collaborative studio spaces for students.
The studios, located in G14, are available to students and are supported by on-site technical staff. Email for more information.
Logan
Griffith Centre for Systems Innovation
The Griffith Centre for Systems Innovation at Logan campus is a bright, flexible space that accommodates an array of community events and workshops. Colleagues, students and partners taking part in courses or programs or in any other collaboration with the Centre are welcome to use the space.
If you have an event or workshop you’re interested in hosting here, we can see if it’s possible. The Centre is located at L03_2.12.
The Collaboratory
Logan is also home to the Collaboratory, a purpose-built space to develop enterprise skills, enhance business acumen and access education in entrepreneurial thinking and STEAM disciplines.
Facilities include informal seating for up to 70 (dry bars, easy chairs, flexible furniture), four workstations, interactive 80” touchscreen, 20 tablets, video conferencing, portable white boards and fixed glass boards, access to a kitchenette and 3D printers.
Located at L03, the space is bookable for students, staff, community and industry. Call for more information.
Nathan
Engineering, Technology and Aviation building (N79)
One of Griffith's newest constructions, the Engineering, Technology and Aviation building contains six levels of modern architecture, energy efficiency and cutting-edge technology.
The building houses specialised laboratories, workshops and dynamic indoor-outdoor learning environments, as well as industry engagement zones with flexible, multi-function spaces.
Aviation flight simulators, IT studios and a large-scale wet laboratory for environmental science students are features to be added in the near future. The building is located at N79 on the Nathan campus.
South Bank
QCA studios
QCA at South Bank is a thriving arts community that provides access to world-class art galleries, exhibition spaces, studios and cutting-edge computer laboratories.
Facilities include 3D printers, laser cutters, workshops, spray-painting booths and collaborative spaces for students.
The studios are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and are supported by on-site technical staff. Email for more information.
