We realise the importance of innovation across sectors and disciplines. Innovation is becoming an essential capacity that enables individuals and organisations to respond to their changing environment with intention and success.

Every time we engage in a process of change, or seek to do something differently, we are presented with an opportunity to innovate – whether we do this well depends on the skills, tools, processes, and connections we have at our disposal.

Griffith has recognised the importance of developing innovation capabilities by committing to a target of 70% of students, regardless of their discipline, engaging in innovation and entrepreneurship development during their time of study.

Fostering innovation capability, practice, and outcomes is best achieved by taking a holistic approach. This means building an ecosystem that combines capacity development, community building, programs and processes, specialised spaces, enabling resources, active facilitation, and adaptive management.

Griffith Innovate will enable and empower staff, across the University, to play an active role in Griffith’s strategic and ambitious future plans.
