Welcome to Griffith
Now that you have been accepted into Griffith's Study Abroad or Exchange program you will be able to begin planning your arrival.
We host a compulsory Inbound Student Orientation to welcome all new Study Abroad and Exchange students to Griffith. The session discusses important information and advice for making the most of your experience at Griffith and includes activities and prize competitions.
APPLYING FOR A VISA
As an international student, you are required to hold a valid Australian visa for the duration of your study in Australia. Once you have accepted your offer and been issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) you will be able to apply for a visa. Make sure you allow sufficient time for your visa to be processed.
Generally Study Abroad and Exchange students apply for an Australian Student Visa. If you are applying for a Working Holiday Visa you will need to contact the Global Mobility office immediately. Not all students are eligible for a Working Holiday Visa; Griffith Global Mobility recommends you apply for a student visa.
You will need to contact the Department of Home Affairs or your local Australian Government overseas office for any assistance or enquiries.
Byron Bay Experience
Griffith and Extreme Adventures invite you to experience Byron Bay and surroundings on the Griffith Orientation Trip. Spend time exploring the most easterly point of Australia before the trimester begins!
Griffith Mates are a diverse group of students who speak around 46 different languages. They welcome students during Orientation Week and host fun events and volunteering activities to help you make new friends, expand your worldview and enhance your cross-cultural and leadership skills.
