Support for veterans commencing undergraduate study
The Astute Electronics Veteran Student Scholarship has been established to reward and encourage excellence.
It will be available to students across the full range of study areas at Griffith University and are registered with the Veteran Student Success Program.

Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder, or New Zealand citizen
- be commencing at Griffith University in an undergraduate degree in the awarding trimester
- be registered with the Veteran Student Success Program by the close date for scholarship application
- be enrolled full-time in the commencing trimester of offer

- Personal statement: In 500 words or less, outlining service experience, goals, and the impact this scholarship would have.

- Curriculum Vitae (CV) - include details of your service (time in service, rank, service record)

Value
Maximum value is $5,000, paid in instalments. Instalments of $2,500 are payable for each full-time enrolled trimester up to maximum value of the scholarship.
Subject to approval by the donor, the scholarship may continue for an additional period, up to three years. The continuation of the scholarship is at the discretion of the donor and is subject to the recipient meeting the terms and conditions of the scholarship for each applicable year. Recipients will be notified in writing of the outcome each applicable year.
Payment
Payments are made up to three weeks after the census date, subject to recipients satisfying the scholarship’s terms and conditions.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients must:
- remain enrolled full-time in the degree for which the scholarship was awarded
- maintain a minimum GPA 5.5
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, it is at the discretion of the Scholarship selection panel to withhold the trimester instalment or terminate the scholarship.
Recipients may be invited to meet with the donor and be featured in marketing materials to promote the scholarship.
Applications, including supporting documentation, must be completed and submitted by the closing date.

Applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information.
Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.
