To be eligible, you must:

  • have applied to commence your fourth year of undergraduate study at the Queensland Conservatorium
  • be studying violin or piano
  • be studying a full-time load in the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music Performance.

Assessment will be based on the listing of musical achievements, academic excellence as evidenced by cumulative GPA, community involvement and contribution to the department.

The successful recipient will be selected by the panel.

The panel will peruse the academic record and testimony collated by the Queensland Conservatorium administration of each eligible student (individual applications are not required).

The scholarship is valued at $6,000 per year for each scholarship, paid in two equal instalments after the census date in Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 only.

  • $6,000 for a student studying the violin
  • $6,000 for a student studying the piano

Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date and are subject to the following conditions:

  • The recipient must remain enrolled, full-time, in the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music Performance, studying violin or piano to receive the full scholarship.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 5.0.
  • Must have commenced their fourth year of study in the award year.

The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.
