The Beta Sigma Phi Brass Prize is awarded to a QCGU Bachelor of Music student majoring in Performance (Brass Instruments), who is judged to have performed the best two contrasting works in this annual public competition.

Competition details

To be eligible, you must be a Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University student completing elective studies in Performance (Brass Instruments) (Classical).

The prize will be awarded the student judged to have performed the best two contrasting works in this public competition.

Each entrant is required to present a program of two contrasting works, not exceeding 15 minutes in total.

Previous winners are not eligible to apply.

Beta Sigma Phi Brass Prize 2022 Application Form

  • First prize: $900.
  • Second prize: $400.
  • Third prize: $200.

The Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University will be responsible for the administration of this prize.
