Casual parking options

Flexible casual parking is a great option for staff, students and visitors who like to come and go as they please. All-day casual parking zones (light purple) and two-hour parking zones (green) are available.

Payment can be made via the PayStay App which allows you to pay directly from your phone, wherever you are on campus. To identify the zone you are in, the eight-digit zone codes are located on the campus parking maps and on car park signage.

Payment is also available by EFTPOS at the Pay-by-Plate parking machines across campus. Instructions for both payment methods can be found below.

Paying for casual parking

PayStay App

The PayStay app enables you to pay for casual all-day or two-hour zoned parking without having to use the Pay-by-Plate machines on campus. Using the app means that you only pay for the time you park on campus, press ‘stop’ only when you have returned to your vehicle to leave campus.

To identify the PayStay zone you have parked in, the eight-digit zone codes can be found on the parking maps or on car park signage.

  1. Download the PayStay mobile app from your mobile device's App store; available on Android and Apple.
  2. Register your details on the app or via phone 1300 322 111.
  3. Add/select the vehicle number plate
  4. Enter the PayStay zone code and select "next"
  5. Review all details on the "Create Ticket" screen
  6. If these are correct then press START to begin the parking session and press STOP when you leave.

We recommended that you allow notifications for the app so you can receive reminders that the zone time limit is approaching.

PayStay is supported externally to the University. If you experience issues with the application, please contact them directly at customerservice@paystay.com.au or 1300 322 111. For more information about PayStay, visit the website.
