How do I buy a permit?

Staff and students should apply for parking permits through Griffith University ePermits portal.

Permits for each campus and parking location will be available for purchase on the dates listed below.

Please use the User Guide for detailed instructions on how to setup your Griffith University ePermits account.

1. Visit Griffith University ePermits (login required)
2. Enter your Griffith Single Sign-On credentials and proceed through the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) steps as prompted.
3. If you have already linked your PayStay account you should automatically log into the Self Service Portal and can purchase your permit.
4. If you haven't previously linked your PayStay account you will need to Sign Up and/or Link your PayStay account.
5. Use the Sign Up option if you don't have an existing PayStay account.
6. Use the Link option if you already have an existing PayStay account.
7. Once completed the Sign Up or Link process you will be able to access Griffith University ePermits.
8. Select the Annual or Trimester permit under My Applications.
9. Choose the permit and payment option from the drop-down box.
10. Check your details and add your vehicle registration.
11. Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Submit.
12. Follow the credit card payment process if paying by credit card.
13. Once confirmation email has been received your permit will become active from its valid start date.

Important

• You are required to pay casually when parking on campus prior to receiving your permit activation e-mail
• There is a 1 permit per person limit
• Permits can be purchased for your primary campus only. The Parking team are unable to amend your primary campus record. For staff, please contact Payroll. For students, please contact student services
• Purchase of a permit does not guarantee a parking bay will always be available
• When updating your permit registration details, please allow a minimum of 12 hours for changes to reflect within the system to avoid infringement

Special permits

Special permits are issued on a temporary basis for those who do not hold a Disability permit and require a car park closer to campus buildings.

This permit is valid in Special permit zones and can be applied for under the following circumstances:

Note: The temporary mobility permit application form is through the Griffith University ePermits Portal, and can be accessed via the link below. If you do not hold a valid permit you will need to purchase the permit, the cost will be displayed in your application.  If you have a valid permit that will remain valid for the duration of the temporary mobility permit application then the cost of the permit will be waived.

Brisbane South (Nathan) Campus - Residential parking permits

Residents of Griffith accommodation at Nathan can purchase a Residential Permit through the online portal. This permit allows parking on the roof of the N38 Multistorey Carpark and in General Permit areas on the Brisbane South, Logan, and Gold Coast campuses.

• The boomgate to N38 should open when scanning your number plate. You can also request access on your swipe card or mobile phone by contacting the parking team.
• This permit only allows parking in the open air roof section of the N38 multistorey. If you prefer undercover parking please purchase the N38 Multistorey permit instead.
• Purchasing a permit does not guarantee a parking space at all times.
• If your primary campus is not Nathan but you live on campus, you are still eligible for this permit.
• Residential permits are not subject to availability and can be applied for at any time during the trimester by eligible Nathan residents.

Griffith Parking does not provide Residential permits for Gold Coast Griffith Uni Village residents. We recommend purchasing the G55 Multistorey Permit as that is best positioned to the Griffith Uni Village accommodation.
