How to apply for a permit

Staff and students should apply for parking permits through the Griffith portal for ParkingPermit2024.

1. Read the request form and click ‘Continue’.
2. Read the Terms and Conditions and click ‘I agree’.
3. Review your contact details and continue.
4. Click on the permit required in the ‘Available’ column. If the box is greyed out and cannot be selected, that permit is sold out and is no longer available.
5. Click to continue to payment method. Payment can be made online by credit card, salary deduction (post-tax eligible staff only) or salary packaging (pre-tax staff only). Due to high volume traffic during pick times, it may take multiple attempts to successfully purchase.
6. You will know your request has been confirmed once you reach the ‘Campus Life Parking Permit request confirmation form’ page.
7. You will receive an automatic email titled ‘Campus Life Parking Permit Request Confirmation’ confirming that your application was successful.
8. Once the permit has been created, within 48 hours, you will receive a second email titled ‘Your New Parking Permit’ – this will contain instructions for Managing your Permit via the MyParking self-service portal.

Important

• You are required to pay casually when parking on campus prior to receiving your permit activation e-mail
• There is a 1 permit per person limit
• Permits are able to be purchased for your primary campus only. The Parking team are unable to amend your primary campus record. For staff, please contact Payroll. For students, please contact student services
• Purchase of a permit does not guarantee a parking bay will always be available
• When updating your permit registration details, please allow a minimum of 12 hours for changes to reflect within the system to avoid infringement

Special permits

Special permits are issued on a temporary basis for those who do not hold a Disability permit and require a car park closer to campus buildings.

This permit is valid in Special permit zones and can be applied for under the following circumstances:

Note: The temporary Special permit application form is only available for permit holders. If you do not hold a valid permit please contact the Parking team directly for further information.

Resident permits

Nathan campus college residents are able to purchase a Residential permit directly through the online portal. These permits provide access to General permit and Residential zones on campus.

If your primary campus is not listed as Nathan and you are living on campus, you are still eligible for this permit.

As residents are entitled to a parking permit, these are not subject to availability and can be applied for at any time throughout a Trimester, as required.

Griffith Parking does not provide Residential Permits for Gold Coast Residential Students. Please contact the Student Guild.
