Helping mature students achieve their aspirations
With more than 50% of our student population comprising of mature students (also often called Adult Learners or Mature-age students). These are students who have taken a gap between school and university and may have take alternative pathways to university based on other education or experience. We are experts at helping mature students settle into university life and study. Regardless of your educational background, there are admissions pathways to help you achieve your university dreams. We hold outreach activities with partnering TAFEs, community colleges, VET providers and community service organisations to raise higher-education aspirations of mature students. We also help mature students navigate admission pathways to university and transition smoothly into tertiary study.

QTAC provides a one-stop shop for 16 higher education providers in Queensland and Northern New South Wales, across both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions.
A new national Government website called Course Seeker is also now available options for all types of tertiary options.
QTAC STAT support
We run a free QTAC STAT preparation workshop and STAT sitting for eligible students (dates to be advised). The workshop provides a thorough overview of the test, practice questions and exam strategies that can help boost your confidence. The STAT test can help you to gain, or improve, your Selection Rank for university entry.

Information for current students
Peer Welcome Program
The Griffith Peer Welcome Program helps new students settle into university by assigning them with experienced students equipped to share their survival tips during the first weeks of study. The program runs from Weeks 1 to 3 for commencing undergraduate degree students in a variety of Griffith schools.
