Donor details

Dinesh Palipana was the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland, and the second person ever to graduate from medical school with quadriplegia in Australia.

Dinesh earned a Bachelor of Laws prior to completing his Doctor of Medicine at Griffith University. Halfway through his medical school degree studies, he was involved in a catastrophic motor vehicle accident that caused a cervical spinal cord injury.

Dinesh is committed to leading by example in his support for medical students in the School of Medicine at Griffith University who are undertaking their rigorous course of studies while also experiencing the challenges of financial hardship. Dinesh is supportive of these students and encourages other individuals, small businesses and corporate entities to look into ways they may also help and support students at Griffith University who are facing similar circumstances.
