Competition details

  • The prize will be awarded to a Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University student completing a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in Guitar, for the best overall performance.
  • Students who have won the first prize on one previous occasion are not eligible.

Selection process

  • All competitors are required to play their own choice of works lasting no longer than 12 minutes.
  • Judges are to be appointed by the Director (or their nominee). No judge may be the teacher of a student who is competing.
  • First Prize: $800
  • Second Prize: $500
  • Encouragement Award: $200
