Outreach and Pathways works with a variety of stakeholders, including local schools, university, TAFE and community groups to create customised outreach activities that help develop capacity for tertiary study and are designed and delivered with relevant and successful Griffith role models and mentors.

Outreach Program

The Griffith Outreach Program is funded through HEPPP to widen aspiration, improve access and promote the value of higher education to people from low socio-economic status background, persons from regional areas and remote areas, and indigenous persons.

The Careers Outreach Program was developed to raise tertiary awareness and broaden the career aspirations of students and is integral to Griffith’s commitment to widening tertiary participation in under-represented groups, through effective partnerships with schools and local communities.

Maori and Pacific Islander Outreach

Delivered to Uni-Reach high schools with a large population of Pasifika students, our LEAD program helps demystify university, increase confidence and encourage teamwork.

We hold outreach activities with partnering TAFEs, community colleges, VET providers and community service organisations to raise higher-education aspirations of adult learners. We also help adult learners navigate pathways to university and transition smoothly into tertiary study.
