Academic Committee provides advice to the Council on the University's academic planning activities, policies and procedures.

Academic Committee provides advice to Council on:

  • Proposals for new organisational structures for academic activities including the creation of schools/departments, centres, units, committees and boards
  • Proposals for the development of new academic policies and procedures; and
  • Proposals which affect the conduct, assessment and enhancement of teaching and research.

The role and function of Academic Committee is set out in the current Academic Committee Constitution.

Effective 1 January 2027 is the approved Academic Committee Constitution 2027.
