Kent Chambers
Kent Chambers won a prestigious graduate position as a Policy Officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Canberra after completing an international relations and business double degree at Griffith. He was an ideal candidate for the position with his combined experience from an internship with Deloitte Australia and an overseas exchange to Argentina. Through his role with Veteran Affairs, Kent has gained a greater understanding of the impact of legislation and budget processes on the defence force. 'It is rewarding and makes it easy to go to work every day knowing that the work I do has a direct impact on people, albeit in a small way.'

Griffith government and international relations graduates are sought after because they’ve learnt how to contribute to a prosperous, equitable and sustainable future. You’ll find them working in all three tiers of Australian government—in Treasury and Finance, Defence and Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Trade, in the offices of Members of Parliament, in international organisations such as the United Nations and the Red Cross, and in private sector consultancies, lobbying and logistics firms.
There are opportunities for graduates to work in a range of roles including providing advice to government and business leaders, developing policy and managing programs with domestic and international organisations in a variety of areas.
