Create, Challenge, and Inspire

Our courses are designed to foster creativity, build confidence, and develop new skills. Whether through creative writing, singing, studio drawing, or painting, these courses provide a supportive space and environment for Mosaic students to engage and learn.

Creative Writing 1

This course focuses on imagination, self-expression, and the power of story. Writers will learn to shape their ideas into words, build confidence in sharing their voice, and enjoy writing as a creative outlet. Whether poetry, prose, or writing for performance, this class celebrates freedom of expression and writing with heart and courage.

Mosaic Singers

Welcome to Mosaic's own community choir. The Mosaic Singers will sing as a collective exploring melody, harmony, and vocal techniques to help build confidence in our own voice. No music theory experience needed, just a willingness to connect with others and sing as one voice and experience the positive endorphins that come with singing.

Studio drawing

This introduction to drawing will include fundamental studio techniques such as sketching and observational drawing, and materials including graphite, charcoal, and ink. This course will provide students with an appreciation for the art of drawing and the material skills to continue drawing after the course is completed.

Painting in Practice

This foundational course will explore the diversity offered by painting. Students will learn techniques and basic painting theory, including colour and tone, to explore different painting genres such as landscape, still life, portraiture and abstraction. The course will equip students with the confidence and skills to start a painting practice.
