Australia-ASEAN Tourism and Hospitality Forum for SMART Recovery and Development

Responding to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this project aims to support the recovery and development of the tourism and hospitality sector in Australia and ASEAN countries. The Australia-ASEAN Tourism and Hospitality Forum provides a knowledge-sharing platform and brings together a wide range of stakeholders including practitioners, academic experts, and government officers.

The project is funded by the Australia-ASEAN Council, led by Griffith University, and supported by international partners in Australia and ASEAN such as Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Vietnam), VinUni (Vietnam), Petra Christian University (Indonesia), Universiti Teknologi Mara (Malaysia), Research Synergy Foundation (Indonesia) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

Together with an online forum on Facebook and LinkedIn and the free online course, three workshops will be organised in 2021 to strengthen the connections between Forum members and enable the formulation of effective strategies that can capture new opportunities and increase sector resilience.
