The Student Lounge at Nathan

The Student Lounge is a student-led space that supports clubs and societies at Griffith. It provides a space for students to connect, collaborate, and engage in activities that enrich campus life beyond the classroom.

Designed to support creativity, leadership, and community, the lounge recognises the important role clubs play in shaping the student experience.

About the Student Lounge

The lounge serves as a shared space for clubs to meet, host events, and collaborate. It can accommodate larger events, such as workshops, networking nights, and seminars, with access to a kitchen area for catering purposes. The space is also suitable for smaller or shared bookings, allowing multiple clubs to run activities simultaneously, from board games and study sessions to casual drop-ins.

As an open and welcoming space, the Student Lounge fosters diversity and inclusion, offering a platform for cultural, academic, and interest-based clubs to come together and cultivate a sense of belonging.

Opportunities for students

The Student Lounge supports student development through collaboration, leadership, and engagement. Clubs utilising the space provide students with opportunities to develop practical skills, expand their professional networks, and explore interests beyond their academic studies.

Providing a dedicated club space acknowledges the contributions of student volunteers who lead clubs and deliver meaningful experiences for the broader Griffith community.
