Professional Experience (PEx) is a teaching and learning placement undertaken through 4 PEx courses in the Bachelor of Education and 3 PEx courses in the Masters of Teaching. It varies from 10 days to 30 days and, depending on the focus of the degree, is undertaken at Early Childhood Centres, primary and secondary schools.

A placement is an arrangement between Griffith and the school and the conditions are approved by the registration body. PEx courses must be taken in order. Only final year PEx courses can be taken in both T1 and T2.

PEx courses are usually taken in this order:

Bachelor of Education: 1999EDN T2 first year; 2999EDN second year, 3999EDN 3rd year; 4888EDN 4th year.
