Make connections through PASS

Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) is a free program that offers structured and fun group learning sessions for some of the courses students find more challenging. The weekly one-hour online study sessions begin in Week 2 and run all trimester, with Exam Busters offered prior to the mid-trimester and end-of-trimester exams. The sessions are facilitated by students who have previously achieved excellent results in the course and who have completed a nationally accredited training program. PASS sessions across all campuses are held online, making PASS accessible and flexible. Whether you have room for improvement or you're a top performer already, PASS is for you!

Exam Buster sessions

Make the most of extra exam practice with PASS Exam Buster sessions. These two-hour intensive study sessions provide tips, strategies and revision for your mid-trimester and end-of-trimester exams. You can guarantee a spot in these sessions by attending PASS regularly, with invitations sent exclusively via email.

How to access sessions

For some courses, you will have selected a session to attend as part of your enrolment, and this will appear on your timetable from Week 2.

All other courses will be promoted on the course page of Learning@Griffith, so this is where you will find session times and more information about PASS.

Online sessions run on Microsoft Teams, which you can access from the course page. You will see PASS in the left-hand menu.

There’s a lot to be gained from becoming a PASS Leader, including personal satisfaction, improved organisation and time management, enhanced knowledge of content and the chance to be part of a supportive team environment.

The role also equips you with skills highly sought after by employers including leadership, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, developing capabilities from feedback, problem solving and creative thinking.

PASS Leader application process

Students who achieve high results in a PASS-supported course will be contacted and encouraged to submit an application for the PASS Leader role. Recruitment occurs mid-year (June–July) for some courses and at the end of the year (November–January) for the following year.
