Support for new nursing students

This program comprises a group of dedicated second and third-year nursing students, who volunteer their time to support commencing students with their transition to nursing studies.

The program promotes a sense of connectedness, resourcefulness and competence. Our mentors facilitate the socialisation of new students, serve as signposts to relevant resources and supports, and clarify expectations in the academic learning environment.

Based at our Gold Coast, Logan and Nathan campuses, the program has been running for a number of years, with many students expressing how valuable the program has been.
