James is an alumnus of Griffith University, having studied a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Bachelor of Economics with Honours through the Griffith Business School.
Upon graduating, James worked for PwC in Sydney, before moving with PwC to the Middle East. James returned to Brisbane in 2018 to work for a renewable energy developer, before taking a role with KPMG Corporate Finance.
James is now the CEO of Dirio Gas & Power, a privately-owned PNG-based independent power producer, and is passionate about improving access to, and reliability of electricity in developing economies.
