Open Conservatorium has a developing range of scholarships and bursaries which are designed to support our students.
Silver Harris Bursary
The Silver Harris Bursary is a generous initiative by Conservatorium supporter Silver Harris, created to nurture musical talent and creativity in young people.
Driven by a deep belief in the power of music to shape lives, the bursary helps remove financial barriers for children and young people involved in the Open Conservatorium, ensuring promising musicians can continue to explore, develop, and share their musical potential.
Bursary Details:
The Silver Harris Bursary is open to all pre-tertiary students (aged from 2 – 17 years old) through an annual application process. Enquiries are considered at any time, with applications being considered in the first half of each year.
The Bursary may be applied by the University towards lesson fees, instrument costs, travel support and other purposes which the University agrees may further the recipient's musical talent.
Selection will be based on both musical talent and financial need, assessed by a selection panel.
