Accelerating drug discovery through collaborative infrastructure

Compounds Australia provides access to a specialised suite of compound libraries, curated to meet the needs of diverse Australian research.

Compounds are readily available as entire libraries, tailored subsets, or cherry-picked samples, and can be dispensed into flexible, assay-ready formats using our custom sample processing platforms.

All libraries are stored under tightly controlled conditions to preserve compound integrity and support reliable, reproducible research outcomes.

Open Access Collection

Our Open Access Collection is expertly curated to support discovery research. Accessible to all Compounds Australia members, these libraries offer broad chemical diversity and targeted screening opportunities, enabling a wide range of drug discovery and biomedical research programs.

Specialised Collections

Through our unique model, Specialised Collections contributed by partner organisations are managed by Compounds Australia and made accessible to Members. This expands the range of compounds available for screening while strengthening collaboration across the research community.

Smart Compounds

Find and select compound sets tailored to your screening strategy using Smart Compounds, our advanced search portal. Search the Open Access collection and select sets based on (sub)structure, structure similarity, chemical properties, and known activities.

“Having worked in industry drug discovery programs internationally, I recognise the value that access to high-quality compound screening libraries brings to research organisations. Compounds Australia directly and indirectly enables many QEDDI programs, enabling our researchers and partner organisations to access high-value compound libraries that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to obtain. By making these resources available through a shared national infrastructure, Compounds Australia provides a meaningful advantage for Australian researchers, strengthening our ability to generate globally competitive research and accelerate the translation of promising discoveries into new therapeutics.“
