Queensland's Disability Plan

Queensland's Disability Plan 2022-2027: Together, a better Queensland will help to achieve Australia's Disability Strategy across the state, in a way that recognises the diversity of its people, communities and regions.

To aid this, Griffith University, Queenslanders with Disability Network and the Queensland Government are partnering to deliver the Voice of Queenslanders with Disability initiative.

Outcome areas

Queensland's Disability Plan has seven outcome areas, and it is the goal of Voice of Queenslanders with Disability to find out how they are changing over time. They include:

  1. working and earning money,
  2. inclusive homes and communities,
  3. rights, fairness, and safety,
  4. getting support,
  5. learning and skills,
  6. health and wellbeing,
  7. community attitudes.

Register

Griffith University, Queenslanders with Disability Network and the Queensland Government are using innovative digital techniques to investigate the lived experience for those with disability in our state.

So, if you’re a person with disability, a family member or carer of a person with a disability, part of a disability service, or a member of a peak or advocacy organisation relating to disability, we want to hear from you.

The Voice of Queenslanders with Disability annual report will provide an in-depth understanding of people's experiences, successes and challenges in alignment with Queensland's Disability Plan (2022-2027): Together, a better Queensland.

Starting on 31 January 2023, we will be launching several different ways for you to share your stories and have your say, including online questionnaires, interviews, and focus groups.

The survey is now live!
