Recognising the exceptional achievements of students and teachers in science.

Professor Richard John, Director of the Griffith University ‘Science on the GO!’ outreach program, would like to acknowledge and recognise the achievements of outstanding students (2 per school) and teachers of science in South East Queensland by providing the Beverley and Jock McIlwain Award for Excellence in Science.

Nominations for both the student and teacher awards are now closed.

Teacher award

The ‘Beverley and Jock McIlwain Award for Excellence in Science' for 2018 was  awarded to Todd Buric, from Pacific Pines State High school for his exceptional science teaching and service towards achieving the objectives of Griffith University’s Science on the GO! science outreach program.

Student award

The ‘Beverley and Jock McIlwain Award for Excellence in Science’ is awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and enthusiasm in Science throughout the year and will receive a $50 gift voucher and a Griffith University Award certificate.
