Zehnab Vayani

Advisory Committee Member, Health Consumer and Career Advocate

Zehnab Vayani is a currently a mature age Nutrition & Dietetics student at Griffith University. Outside of her studies Zehnab is a mother of two girls and lives with her family on the Gold Coast. Mrs Vayani is an actively engaged health and consumer advocate. Her passion and interest around health literacy and co-design is informed by her own extensive lived experience of the healthcare system across the continuum of primary care, specialist secondary consultation services and advanced level tertiary healthcare and its impact on her children. Mrs Vayani is particularly interested in advances in healthcare diagnostics, research and evaluation of new clinical trials and treatments. She has a keen interest in the role of precision medicine and genomics in addressing chronic health care conditions impacting the bowel and brain. She also a keen advocate committed to seeing the co-design of trials that safely advance innovation in healthcare whilst balancing ethical considerations around health consumer and carer human rights, quality , safety and accessible information to inform advances in personalised healthcare and medicine.
