Getting involved in a club or student association offers you the opportunity to pursue a special interest, develop new skills and make new friends. There are more than 120 clubs across our campuses ranging from educational and professional to social, cultural and sporting.

Griffith Business School hosts a number of student run clubs and associations. Read more about some of our most active clubs below.

Griffith Business Students' Association

GBSA is a social association run by students. GBSA run a bi-annual Textbook Fair at the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses (usually in Weeks 1 and 2, of trimester 1 and 2), an end of year Gala Ball for business and commerce students, plus other social and professional events for GBS students throughout the year.

Employment Relations and Human Resource Management

Griffith ER and HRM Societies (Nathan and Gold Coast) run industry networking events and social activities which aim to improve student employability and professional skills for students interested in HRM and Employment Relations. Students can participate in activities at both the Gold Coast and Nathan campuses.

The GGIRS is a club for informed academic debate of all things political; from local domestic policy to international relations. They aim to create a social and positive environment to engage with people from all over the policy world to enhance our own perspectives to understand and solve the problems of an ever more complex world.

Gold Coast

Griffith University Commerce Society (GUCS)  aims to inspire and support the student body by bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Nathan

Griffith University Association of Commerce (GUAC) aims to provide opportunities for students based at the Nathan campus with the opportunity to explore their professional and educational interests in commerce (notably in finance, accounting, economics and financial planning), and to network with like-minded students.

GRIFFITH BUSINESS SCHOOL ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SOCIETY

The GBS Academic Excellence Society was established in 2014 to recognise and reward academic excellence. Membership is open to current undergraduate business students who have achieved a high level of academic excellence. ACES rewards its members with letters of recommendation, access to professional development events, and networking opportunities with peers and staff. Facilitated by Griffith Business School, the Society is shaped by the interests and activities of its members.

Benefits of membership:
  • Membership to the GBS ACES closed Facebook page.
  • Information about relevant seminars, conferences and events.
  • Invitation to a Welcome event early in the Trimester – attended by representatives from Griffith Business School.
