CareerSet is an easy‑to‑use online tool that helps you strengthen your CV and cover letter. Using AI‑powered feedback, CareerSet shows you exactly what’s working, what needs improvement and the practical steps you can take next. You can also use the platform to help optimise your LinkedIn profile.
CareerSet is a great place to start if you’re preparing a job application or want to make the most of a future appointment with our careers team.
Getting started
As a student, you have full access to all of CareerSet’s features.
Sign in to CareerSet
- Go to the CareerSet website.
- Click Sign in.
- Enter your Griffith student email.
- Click Continue. You will be directed to Griffith Single Sign-on.
- Sign in by entering your Griffith username and password.
- Once successfully authenticated, navigate back to the CareerSet website (if you're not automatically returned there).
Upload your CV as a PDF
Once you open CareerSet, start by uploading your CV (PDF format only) into the Score Your CV tool.
You will receive an Overall Score for Impact, Brevity, Style and an Average Bullet Score, along with specific suggestions for improvement.
From the left-hand menu, you can then access other tools such as Sample CV Lines, Line-by-Line Analysis, a list of Action Verbs, as well as detailed scoring for each category.
Explore CareerSet's other tools
After reviewing your CV, return to the main CareerSet dashboard to use the platform's other tools, including:
- Target My CV
- Cover Letter Review
- LinkedIn Optimisation.
Together, these features help you tailor your application materials to specific job descriptions.
Remember, you can only upload documents that are in PDF format.
