Climate Action Fellowships

Climate Action Fellowships support projects across academic, government, industry, third and fourth sectors that exhibit innovation and thought leadership in motivating, guiding and delivering climate action.  Fellowship projects can be original stand-alone projects or an additional dimension to an existing Climate Action Beacon project.  The  Fellowships can also support current Griffith PhD candidates, funding additional research expenses incurred to undertake climate action projects.

Prospective fellows must partner with a Griffith academic that is involved in the Climate Action Beacon as a member or named researcher on a current Climate Action Beacon funded project and/or an industry partner.

We encourage diversity and innovation. Projects can range from, for example, creative-arts initiatives to those policy planning or community engagement initiatives. We encourage applications from marginalised communities and especially First Nations people and organisations, women and people who are differently abled.

These fellowships (valued at $5,000-$10,000) encourage and support industry, government or community partnerships, providing opportunities for Griffith researchers to work with existing partners or to develop new relationships.

Please join our Climate Action Beacon mailing list (see email below) to receive announcements about Fellowship funding rounds.
