Contractors are used widely to provide a broad range of trades and other services to support Griffith University's business goals. In doing so, contractors need to recognise some extremely important safety and environmental issues about working on campus. Having a clear understanding of them is a condition of entry to our University sites for all contractors, their staff or subcontractors.
- The University wants to provide a safe and healthy working environment for everyone and the protection of staff and students from work activities is paramount.
- We make every effort to ensure that all work activities, infrastructure and systems on our University campuses comply with relevant laws or standards, as a minimum.
- We greatly value the protection of our bush land and local environment and make every effort to ensure that day to day activities don't damage that environment.
- With so many different work and trade activities taking place every day on our campuses, even a small incident can trigger serious flow-on impacts on University study and research performance
Our goal is to provide "the Best Environment for Learning".
Contractors should use this website to understand University expectations, and help us fulfil that goal.
