The scholarship is to support students who are experiencing financial hardship and are in their second year or above in an undergraduate or dual degree within the Griffith Business School.

Maximum value is $5,000, payable in installments.

Can I apply?

To be eligible you must:

  • be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder
  • be enrolled in full-time study at Griffith University in an undergraduate degree hosted by the Griffith Business School
  • be in at least their second year of study- completed a minimum of 80 credit points
  • have a minimum GPA 4.0 or above

Maximum value is $5,000, payable in installments. Payments of $2,500 are payable for each full-time enroll trimester in which all conditions are met, up to the maximum value of the scholarship.

Payments are made up to six weeks after the Census Date subject to maintaining ongoing eligibility requirements.

The creation of this Scholarship will be used to help those students who demonstrate the talent, but are financially disadvantaged, to realise their full potential.

One of the real differentiating aspects of the Fund is that the School has committed to building a liquidity pool in the Fund from the dividend streams paid from the equity’s investments. This liquidity pool is dedicated to funding a sustainable scheme of scholarships awarded to the most deserving of the School’s students.

Co-contributing alongside the School will create an initial liquidity pool of approximately $22,500 per annum which will be used to fund a number of scholarships each year. The social impact of the co-contribution funding of the Student Investment Fund scholarship scheme is significant and will be recognised and celebrated by the School. As the Fund grows, the liquidity pool will expand, and the scholarships awarded by the School will increase significantly.

To remain eligible for the scholarship, you will be required to:

  • remaining enrolled as a full-time student in an approved undergraduate program hosted by GBS
  • maintain a minimum GPA 4.0
  • not hold another scholarship
  • agree to meet with the donor and feature in marketing materials to promote the Scholarship.

The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, it is at the discretion of the Scholarship Selection Committee to withhold the trimester instalment or terminate the scholarship. The recipient must show cause to the Scholarships Office why the scholarship should not be cancelled.
