The Bendigo Bank Accounting, Finance and Economics Scholarship provides financial support to an outstanding student studying an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or economics at Griffith University.

Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder
- be a commencing or continuing student, full-time or part-time
- have a minimum GPA of 4.0 (if a current student)
- have experienced educational disadvantage
- be currently studying, or be commencing study, an undergraduate Business School bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas:
- accounting
- finance
- economics.

Value
The maximum value is $5,000, payable in instalments of $625 per 10 Credit Points for each enrolled trimester that conditions are met, up to the maximum value of the scholarship.
Please note subject to approval by the University, the scholarship may continue for an additional period, for a maximum of three years. The continuation of the scholarship is at the discretion of the University and is subject to the recipient meeting the terms and conditions of the scholarship for each applicable year. Recipients will be notified in writing of the outcome each applicable year.
Payment
Payments are made up to three weeks after the census date subject to satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.
Please note, payments made whilst studying part-time may be taxable.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, you will be required to:
- remain enrolled at Griffith University in the degree for which the scholarship was awarded
- maintain study in the area of accounting, finance or economics
- maintain a minimum GPA 4.0.
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.
A scholarship recipient may take leave of absence in accordance with University policy. Scholarship benefits are suspended for the period of leave of absence.
Recipients must not defer for more than one trimester to remain eligible for the scholarship. Payments will be suspended for the trimester that the student defers, however will resume once the student returns to study.
The recipient may also be invited to meet with the donor, have their image featured in marketing materials to promote the scholarship

Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.
