Sponsor details

The primary objective of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Dedicated Memorial Queensland Inc. (ATSIDMQI or the Association), a not for profit organisation, was to facilitate the design, manufacture and installation of a war memorial in ANZAC Square, Brisbane to honour, respect and remember Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women who have served and those who have paid the supreme sacrifice for our country.

The unveiling ceremony took place on May 27, 2022 when the memorial was gifted to the State of Queensland and, according to the Association's Mission, after installation of the memorial, it was determined any surplus funds would be used to provide scholarships at Griffith University for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
