Message from our Executive Director
As Executive Director of the Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics, I am proud to lead a driven community of exceptional scientists, clinicians and professionals who are united by a single purpose: to improve human health through translational research. Our Institute brings together world-leading capabilities in glycoscience, cancer biology, infectious diseases, and diagnostics to deliver outcomes that matter—from bench to bedside. Located in the heart of the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, we are uniquely positioned to drive innovation through collaboration and impact, with a translational focus at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to building on our strong foundations, nurturing future scientific leaders, and accelerating discoveries that change lives—whether it’s a diagnostic tool, a new therapeutic strategy, or a novel vaccine. Together, we are advancing discoveries with purpose and delivering solutions with impact.
