A secure environment for sensitive data research

The Data Trust Lab is a custom-built secure facility at Griffith University for storing, managing and analysing sensitive administrative and individual-level data. Its industry-standard security framework supports high-trust research while helping protect privacy, meet governance requirements and enable real-world impact. The lab connects academic expertise with applied research, policy and partnership projects and is open to national and international researchers.

Thank you to the GDT team, your support was the difference between doing it and not doing it! We are so grateful and certainly the help on data and coding was very much needed.

Social Analytics Lab

Completed in February 2017, the Social Analytics Lab (SAL) provides infrastructure necessary to store, manage and analyse sensitive administrative data for research and teaching purposes.

As one of only three such facilities worldwide, SAL enables a new breed of impact- driven social science research, applying cutting edge analytics to large scale administrative data sets to solve complex real world problems.

We want to thank GDT for their help over the last few months with teaching us how to design a dashboard and get it up and running. As two complete newbies, we have been so grateful for the invaluable guidance from the team. We would definitely not be where we are now without their help!
