History to treasure

Brisbane's Treasury Building, an iconic heritage landmark, was constructed between 1886 and 1928 in three stages to house the Queensland Government's Treasury Department. Designed in an Italian Renaissance style by colonial architect J.J. Clark, the building reflects the prosperity of Queensland in the late 19th century. It served as the hub for government administration before being repurposed in the 1990s.
