Represent GU at UniSport Nationals standalone events including Athletics, Triathlon, Swimming, 3x3 Basketball, Distance Running, T20 Cricket, Snow, Cross Country, Surfing and Cheer & Dance.
Standalone Championships
If you're interested in competing at a Unisport Standalone Championship please ensure you have completed the online 2026 UniSport Standalone Championship Registration form as well as contacted one of the Griffith University Team Managers for further information (represent@griffith.edu.au).
Sports: Athletics, Triathlon, Swimming, 3x3 Basketball, Distance Running, T20 Cricket, Snow, Cross Country, Surfing and Cheer & Dance.
Register for a Standalone National Championship
Athletics
In 2026, Athletics will be hosted from 22-24 April at the Gold Coast Performance Centre, Queensland and will be contested in both men’s and women’s events. Multi-class events will also be offered in the competition.
Triathlon
In 2026, Triathlon will be contested in both men’s and women’s events in Sprint and Standard (Olympic) distances at the Peoplecare Triathlon Wollongong in Wollongong, New South Wales on the 19 April 2026. Para Triathlon events will also be offered in the competition.
Distance Running
In 2026, Distance Running will be held in conjunction with the Gold Coast Marathon (10km, half marathon and marathon events) on the 4-5 July 2026 and will be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions. Multi-class events also included in the competition.
3x3 Basketball
In 2026, 3×3 Basketball will be hosted by The University of Canberra on the 6 – 8 May 2026, and will be contested in both men’s and women’s, div 1 and div 2 competitions. A 3×3 wheelchair basketball competition will be included in this years event.
Swimming
In 2026, Swimming will be contested in men’s and women’s events at the Swimming NSW’s 2026 Sydney Open at Sydney Olympic Park, NSW on the 15 – 17 May. Multi-class events will also be offered.
T20 Cricket
In 2026, T20 Cricket will be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions on the Sunshine Coast , QLD on the 27 – 31 July. Matches will be spread out across various venues including the Maroochydore Cricket Club and Caloundra Cricket Club.
Surfing
In 2026, Surfing will be hosted on the Sunshine Coast, QLD on the 28 – 30 July. The Nationals Surfing will be contested in a men’s and women’s shortboard and longboard competitions and a mixed Team’s Challenge competition.
Cross Country
In 2026, Cross Country will be held in conjunction with the 2026 Australian Cross Country Championships on the 22 – 23 August 2026 and will be contested in both men’s and women’s events, with multi-class events also included in the competition program.
Snow
In 2026, Nationals Snow will be held at Mt. Buller from 1 – 3 September and will be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions across the following events:
- Alpine and Snowboard Giant Slalom
- Alpine and Snowboard Super G
- Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross
- Entry Level Alpine and Snowboard Giant Slalom
A learn to race component will be included in the 2026 Nationals Snow Championship where riders can develop their racing skills or riders who are interested in getting into competition but do not know where to start.
Cheer & Dance
In 2026, Cheer & Dance will be contested in an open competition on the 10 August in Melbourne, Victoria.
