Why is this study being conducted?
Living with Sjögren’s disease can affect many parts of daily life. Dry eyes, dry mouth, fatigue, and pain can be difficult to manage
— and these challenges aren’t always visible to others. Although available treatments can help with certain symptoms, many
people continue to experience ongoing discomfort.
That’s why we’re conducting the CDDY391B12201 study. This clinical study is exploring whether an investigational medicine
that targets overactive immune cells may help people living with Sjögren’s disease.
Who is eligible to participate in this study?
This study may be suitable for you if:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of Sjögren’s disease
Applicants who express interest in participating in this study will be reviewed and contacted as other requirement criteria must also be met.
What happens during the study?
Trial duration will be about 15 months and you will have at least 17 trial visits.
Trial site visits will occur at the Griffith University Clinical Trial Unit on the Gold Coast.
You will be assigned randomly to receive the study drug or placebo for the first 6 months. After 6 months, everyone will receive the study drug for the next 6 months.
Volunteer to participate
Participation in this study is completely voluntary, and participants can decide to withdraw at any time.
Eligible participants will be reimbursed for their travel associated with each study visit.
