Why is this study being conducted?

This research study is testing a potential new treatment for severe asthma. Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease typically
caused by airway inflammation. Symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and cough, which vary over time and intensity. Asthma patients are treated with multiple medications and have frequent life-threatening exacerbations.

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the study drug in participants with a history of asthma exacerbations and severe, uncontrolled asthma.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 18 to 80 years of age
  • Have had an asthma diagnosis for more than 2 years
  • Have required corticosteroids at least twice over the last 12 months to control your asthma
