Residential Life Program

Enhance your university experience with social, sporting and cultural events

Griffith Accommodation aims to build diversity within our community using room guidelines and allocation frameworks. We seek to create a balance of new and returning residents from different backgrounds and across all areas and levels of study.

There is a higher number of new residents to returning students, as this allows for students new to Brisbane and the University to build connections and have a smoother transition to life at university.

Griffith Accommodation will prioritise accommodation applications for students from a regional or remote domestic or international location over those that reside locally. Please note that prioritisation does not equate to a guarantee of accommodation.

By applying the guidelines and frameworks and having the balance of residents lean towards new, this helps with our aim of encouraging residents to make the most of their time living on campus.

Applications & Offers

Students should apply as early as possible to give themselves the best chance of securing accommodation.

To ensure students have equal opportunity to apply and to allow fairness in applying our rooming guidelines, allocation frameworks and prioritisation schedules, offers are sent in rounds.

Applicants who do not receive an offer in their first eligible round may be waitlisted to receive an offer in subsequent rounds. All applicants will be contacted via email with progress updates during the application process.
