Eligibility

To be eligible to apply you must:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Be a full-time international student starting in Trimester 1, 2027.
  • Accept your offer to study at Griffith and pay your deposit from 1 October, 2026, within 14 days of receiving your offer.
  • Be studying an undergraduate, postgraduate or Study Abroad coursework program. See the Terms and Conditions below for excluded programs and cohorts.

How to apply

You don't need to apply for the 10% Tuition Support Award, we've kept it as easy as possible.

Just apply to study at Griffith, then accept your offer within 14 days and pay your deposit to study at Griffith University.

Process

  • Apply to study an undergraduate, postgraduate or Study Abroad program at Griffith University as a new international student, commencing Trimester 1, 2027.
  • If you are eligible, you will receive confirmation of your award in your Letter of Offer, in the 'Program Details and Conditions of Offer' section, under 'Additional information'.
  • Accept your offer to study at Griffith and pay your deposit from 1 October, 2026 and satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program within 14 days of receiving your offer.

Receiving the award

  • Once you start studying at Griffith the award will be applied as a credit to your account prior to the census date of your first trimester. You must pay the remaining balance of fees, based on your enrolment, by census date.

Applying to Griffith University is a smooth and simple process.

Terms and Conditions

  • Awards are subject to available funding and are not guaranteed. The Tuition Support Award will cease to be available once allocated funding has been exhausted.
  • The award covers 10% of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees for the first trimester of study only, for students commencing in Trimester 1, 2027.
  • The Tuition Support Award is available to eligible new international students commencing in Trimester 1, 2027 who accept their offer and pay their deposit from 1 October 2026.
  • The Tuition Support Award is available to eligible Study Abroad students commencing in Trimester 1, 2027 who accept their offer and pay their deposit from 1 October 2026.
  • This award will be granted as a non-refundable credit on the student account. Should a student withdraw or cancel for any reason, the award amount is non-refundable.
  • Students who defer commencement to an intake after Trimester 1, 2027 are not eligible to receive the award.
  • If eligible, the Tuition Support Award will apply in addition to other Griffith International student scholarships.
  • Students must be International Fee Paying to qualify for the award.
  • Excludes students enrolling in Higher Degree Research, Dental (1577, 1613, 1638, 1574, 1580, 2126, 5702, 5703, 5699), Psychology (5070, 5747, 5753), Medical (1280, 5099), Master of Speech Pathology (5567), Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (1604),  Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) (1662), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) (1590), English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, online programs, programs only offered part time, programs delivered onshore or offshore in collaboration with a partner organisation.   • Students must not be Australia Award/Australian Government scholarship recipients, foreign government scholarship recipients or on a pathway package with Griffith University.
